A huge thank you to all the individuals who donated prizes to our 2023 Christmas raffle, and of course to everyone who purchased tickets. The funds raised make a massive positive impact to the training and development opportunities for referees in the Altrincham & District area.
The draw was conducted during our December meeting and the full list of prizes and winners can be viewed by clicking here.
CCFA award for Steve Johnson
We were delighted to see our President, Steve Johnson, receiving the Referee Mentor of the Year award from Cheshire FA at their recent presentation evening. Steve gives a substantial amount of time and effort to support and guide new referees around the district, and this recognition from the County FA is thoroughly deserved. Well done Steve!
Statement on recent events
We are appalled by the unacceptable abuse directed at Anthony Taylor and his family as they travelled back from the UEFA Europa League Final. No one deserves such treatment.
Everyone at ADRS is exceptionally proud of Anthony’s achievements and grateful for his willingness to share his knowledge and experience for the benefit of our members and local referees. As a member of our society for over 25 years, his dedication to refereeing has been exemplary and an inspiration to many new and aspiring referees.
We fully support him and his family.
Young Referee of the Year 2022
We are delighted to announce that our Young Referee of the Year for 2022 is Bertie Gent. The award was in recognition of the consistently positive feedback received about Bertie’s refereeing, in addition to his dedication and desire to improve. Bertie also completed the requirements for his promotion to Level 4, which was awarded in early 2023.

£1,230 raised for Trafford South Foodbank
We were delighted to be able to send an amazing £1,230 to Trafford South Foodbank which was raised during December by our members, their families and friends. The fundraising effort replaced our usual Christmas Raffle and enabled the Society to give something to the community during an exceptionally difficult time for many people.
